Established at the turn of the 21st Century, our mission is to transform historic downtown Myrtle Beach, known as Five Points, into a vibrant, profitable, “must-visit” destination for tourists as well as locals.
The Five Points Association carries out its mission through business participation, district community projects, special events, public relations and advertising efforts.
Five Points Association is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and receives financing through donations, grants, and public events.

John Krajc, President

John Krajc is a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Chicora Advantage in Myrtle Beach, SC. Originally from Greensboro, NC, he quickly found his love of service and community in college at Radford University in Virginia. Upon moving to Myrtle Beach, he decided to take a head dive into the community, getting involved in the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, multiple young professionals organizations, and other local non-profits. He is a graduate of Leadership Grand Strand Class 36, the Myrtle Beach Citizens' Police Academy and currently serves on the Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors Legislative Committee as well as Chair of the Young Professionals Network. Bringing knowledge of construction, real estate, and marketing to the Five Points Association, his heart for leadership goes to work for us.
Rik Dickinson, Vice President

As President and co-founder of Encore Video Productions, Rik Dickinson has been actively involved in all aspects of the company’s operations since 1980. His talents as producer, director, videographer and lighting director have won the praises of the company’s many motion picture, television, governmental and corporate clients. His achievements have earned him the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Award “in recognition of outstanding contributions and furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.” A native of New York, Dickinson’s career spans over 48 years, beginning as a U.S. Air Force Intelligence photographic specialist operating the most secret Air Force intelligence gathering cameras. He directed and shot film projects for eight years thereafter, before joining WTVN-TV in Columbus, Ohio and demonstrating his versatility as director, news reporter/cameraman, film editor, commercial production cameraman and lighting director. In 1973 he was awarded “Best News Film of the Year” by the Associated Press.
Carl Kerridge, Vice President

Carl Kerridge has been established in the Grand Strand area as a commercial and event photographer for 15 years. His new studio, located in historic Myrtle Beach on Broadway Street, is a creative space lodging Element Marketing Company and regularly hosts art walks to support the local community. Carl is originally from England and spent many years traveling before settling in Myrtle Beach. He is proud to sit on the board of the Five Points Association and would love to see a strong and thriving arts district set up a permanent home in the historic center of Myrtle Beach
Kate Curran, Treasurer

Kate Curran grew up in Washington State and moved to the east coast in 1995. She spent over twenty years working as a paralegal in law firms in North and South Carolina. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Coastal Carolina University in 2017, and aspires to further her education by attending law school. In 2010, Kate walked into Fresh Brewed Coffeehouse on Broadway Street in downtown Myrtle Beach, and it became her second home. Fresh Brewed is a non-profit, faith-based ministry that supports the Myrtle Beach community is many areas. Kate’s strong leadership, organization and communication skills, coupled with her love of people, made her the perfect fit as the Director of Operations of this community coffeehouse. She loves being part of a cohesive team working toward common goals. This is evidenced by her active involvement in protecting the Grand Strand’s beaches as a Director for Surfrider Foundation. Kate’s dedication to community and Myrtle Beach is also reflected in her commitment as a member and director for Five Points Association.

Amber Foster was raised in Williamsburg, Virginia and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Old Dominion University and is currently pursuing a degree in Management through Southern New Hampshire University. Amber worked in the real estate industry until moving to Myrtle Beach in 2015 where she joined the team of a national insurance brokerage, Burns & Wilcox. Amber has been an active volunteer since childhood, serving organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Virginia Gentlemen Foundation, the Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity and many more. Amber is passionate about giving back to the community and working hard to see the potential in people, and places, realized. She proudly serves as a director for the Five Points Association.
Angie Knight, Member at Large

Angie D. Knight was born in Covington, Georgia and received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Georgia State University in 1998. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University, New Orleans, School of Law, in 2005. Knowing that she planned to live and work in the great state of South Carolina, Angie completed her last year of law school at the University of South Carolina, School of Law in Columbia. In 2009, Angie founded Grand Strand Law Group, LLC and currently acts as the Managing Attorney for the firm. She focuses her practice on Real Estate, Estate Planning, Probate, and Business Law, although her firm also handles Family Law, Civil and Criminal Litigation. In 2014 she obtained her Certification as a Mediator for Circuit Court and enjoys mediating both Circuit Court and Probate Court cases. Angie has been actively involved with the Horry County Bar Association as a Past President and is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and American Bar Association. She is actively involved in the Myrtle Beach community and spends her free time reading and renovating her home in the Surfside Beach community. Grand Strand Law Group, LLC is located at 401 Broadway Street in the Five Points community in downtown Myrtle Beach. As a result, she enjoys being an active member and director for the Five Points Association and strives to make a difference in the area.
